 Imprint Training, also known as Early Learning
|
- We use the Dr. Robert Miller method of Imprint Training and Early Learning. This one thing adds immeasurable value to the horses we raise. Anything anyone does with these horses later in life will go much more smoothly because of the desensitizing and the respect for humans learned at birth
- Along with the desensitizing, we teach basic handling right from the beginning. The 30 minute foal already has seen and felt a halter, and knows how to give to the pressure of the halter.
- In the first couple of days, basic giving to pressure is learned, teaching the foal to move its hind quarters, move its front end, back up, and come forward.
- The foal is also taught to tie in the first few days
